Description

The South Cambridgeshire and Cambridge City Children and Young Peoples Area Partnership is seeking to award a contract to identify and support vulnerable 9 – 13 year olds in South Cambridgeshire and Cambridge City through group work to build self esteem, resilience, confidence, reduce isolation and improve access other provision and services.

The contractor will provide two projects which focus on working with individuals in a group setting, building self esteem, resilience and confidence of the children to access other provision and services. The two projects to deliver are:

a) 3 x 12 week neighbourhood based projects offered to 2 groups in the City and one in South Cambridgeshire. Each group to have approximately 12 places for children aged between 9 – 11 years (yrs 5 – 7).

b) Pilot a girls group of up to approximately 12 individuals in Abbey ward to explore risk taking behaviours and issues around self esteem, with a view to informing wider practice in other neighbourhoods and groups for children aged between 10 -13 years (yrs 5 – 9)

The projects will be developed in Partnership and integrated into the work of relevant organisations in South Cambridgeshire and Cambridge City.

The contractor should be appropriately skilled and qualified. Indication of proven track record of delivering similar projects and CYP skills.
